Sunbeam Boys Home

Sunbeam Boys Home in Jamaica is a place that has become very special to both me and Molly (along with MANY others!). Thankfully, we have been able to stay connected over the years through photos and trips. Check out their website: (http://web.mac.com/sunbeamjamaica/iWeb/Sunbeam%20Boys%27%20Home/Welcome.html. You can also find the link under my "favorites" section on the right.) and let me know if you're interested in planning your own trip there sometime!

Mrs. Lemon!

Lemon Lime Studios is proud to announce the upcoming addition of Brandon to the LLS extended family! Brandon proposed to Molly on December 22 (also Molly's parents' anniversary!) Brandon made his first appearance on the blog a few posts down and he definitely got my approval after enduring a photo shoot in -10 degree weather followed by a good 90 minutes of photo talk. CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY AND BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Livefront in Faribault, MN

Check out the city of Faribault, MN's new website! (www.ci.faribault.mn.us) I had a great time working with Mike from Livefront (www.livefront.com) back in October and I think the new site turned out great!

The Odds are Against Us

It's always a bad idea when Molly and I think we should try out the other side of the camera. Today was no different. It was established long ago that Lemon (Molly) and Lime (Emily) should never attempt to be photographed. This was decided after many "practice" photo shoots which typically produced highly embarrassing blackmail material. So combine 2 difficult subjects, the coldest and ugliest day in December, 2 significant others claiming to be professional models, 1 dog and this is what you get.

We've been elfed!

It wouldn't be the Christmas season without some crazy elf costumes, poor dance moves, and cheesy music. Check it out!

Justin, Jessie, Grayson, and Elaine

Justin, Jessie, and Grayson were some of our first neighbors that we met in Rochester. Since that time, they have added another member to their family, Elaine! They are a great family and have been influential in helping us getting connected to some great groups (Ex: Be4Next) in Rochester! Justin also has a cool, inspirational business called EHFAR. Check it out at www.ehfar.com. Thanks for letting me photograph your beautiful family!

Book & Dart

Book and Dart are #3 and #4 Flat Coated Retrievers in my extended family. It all started when my grandpa and grandma decided to adopt a six year old "free" Flat Coated Retriever, named Zip. If I remember right, Grandpa grumbled about the free dog all throughout the pet store. Apparently she made a good impression and prompted my aunt and uncle to get one of their own, Bert. After Bert passed away, Book and Dart are carrying on the Flat Coat tradition. Don't feel bad if you can't tell them apart...I can't either!

Chloe & Jack

It's definitely the season for winter apparel! Chloe and Jack are in luck because their mom, Amy, makes the coolest hats ever! You'll notice Chloe modeling one below! If you'd like a cool, handmade hat of your own, check back soon for Amy's business website and more details! Even though it was cold, Chloe and Jack braved the weather, forgot the winter apparel for a while and posed for some photos!

Cute hat! Cute girl!

CCRI

My first job out of college was at CCRI (www.creativecare.org) in the Fargo/Moorhead area. This is a fantastic company whose mission is "to enhance and enrich the lives and learning of people with disabilities." Photography has been a great excuse to go back and visit! I recently had the opportunity to do some photos with the intention to try to tell the story of what life is like for people who work with CCRI. It It was so fun to go back and see old friends, meet new friends, and document small pieces of lives whom CCRI is touching.
