George and Gretchen had a gorgeous outdoor wedding overlooking Trout Lake at the Red Crown Lodge near Minocqua, WI. It poured rain that morning and threatened to continue raining for the whole day but thankfully held off for all the photos, ceremony, and reception. It was a perfect day. And George and Gretchen are incredible...nothing could dampen their spirits, not even the rain! They were so much fun and although we didn't get a chance to meet before the wedding, by the end of the day, we felt like we had known them for years. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding and a beautiful marriage!
Gretchen and her dad...a beautiful entrance to the ceremony
I loved the raspberries in the champagne!
Rings!
George surprised Gretchen with a fireworks display during the reception!
Carla and Chad were married outdoors way up north at the Grand Ely Lodge in Ely, MN. It was a tad windy but insanely gorgeous. Carla is also insanely gorgeous. Carla with Chad by her side is even more insanely gorgeous. Carla and Chad, I feel so honored to be able to capture your love...it was both a joy and an honor. I hope that married life brings you many more days as perfect as your wedding day...CONGRATULATIONS!
Carla's bridesmaids wrote her little notes and attached them to her dress...how sweet is that?
For real. Windex works to get too tight weddings rings on and off. Just ask Carla! :)
Almost ready!
Pretty bride!
The first look!
The awesome wedding party:
Certainly there's time for a round of bean bags:
CANNOT get any cuter...
It's time to get married!
Time for some photos for the first time as a married couple! I had too many favorites...
Shawna and Kory of Shawna Noel Photography are awesome. They've been brave and accepted the challenge of photographing me and Justin a couple times and they still talk to us despite the fact that we are IMPOSSIBLE subjects! AND they make us look good! Miracle workers, indeed. (You can see us here!) So needless to say, photographing them was like trying to make dinner for Rachael Ray. No pressure. Luckily, they are naturals on both sides of the camera!
First up, a night session to experiment with some off camera lighting...
