Jack

One of the best parts about photography is all the connections it creates with great people. I won't go into all the details (my friends' cousins' boyfriends' sister...you get the point!) about how Jack and his parents, Dan and Alli, and I got connected but I'm so glad we did! We had a fun afternoon with some great shots of adorable Jack!

Hans, Katie, and Lars

I promise no Ole and Lena jokes but this family is true to their Norwegian roots! Not only is there a Hans and Lars here but I heard that there was a Bjorn and Nels in the extended family as well! I love it...next time I'll bring the lefse! Katie and Hans are also Concordia graduates (go Cobbers!) and Katie and I also worked at Camp Metigoshe so the Norwegian Lutheran connections just keep coming. Katie, it was great to connect again and to meet your fun family!

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

This morning the Today Show did a great segment on Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) which is a non-profit organization that connects volunteer photographers with families who have lost or are in the process of losing a child. "NILMDTS is there for parents and families to help aid them in their healing, bring hope to their future, and to honor child. It is through remembrance that a family can truly begin to heal." In the segment on the Today Show, Kerry Sanders profiled the work of one of the volunteers from NILMDTS, Jessica Person, and the family of Baby Olivia. You can check it out by visiting this link:

Adeline

Not only is Adeline adorable, but she is also incredibly sweet! She has the most gorgeous eyes and was content doing everything we made her do!

And they're married!

This ongoing blogging of Laura and Ray's wedding has been so fun...partially because I get to be reminded of tropical weather in the midst of the snow but mostly because the whole experience was so great. This part of the day was probably my favorite because the light was so delicious. Two more posts to follow soon...

Gotta love a little flare!

and we live in Minnesota why?
