Sunbeam: in black and white

When I think of Sunbeam, I typically think of color. First of all, it's Jamaica which has color written all over it! Also, the building of Sunbeam is bright blue, the boys are always wearing brightly colored t-shirts and the sun paints everything a shade of happy. So I feel that looking at Sunbeam in black and white shows a little bit different side of life here.

There's always time to be silly at Sunbeam and being silly when there's a camera around just makes it that much more fun. Thanks to Molly for the photos that have me in them!

A little known fact about me: I can make my nostrils stick together...for extended periods of time. WEIRD? Yes. A little bit creepy? Yes. Fascinating to boys at Sunbeam? Yes.

Sunbeam: The Learning Centre

Molly and I just returned early this morning from an awesome week at Sunbeam. As always, there are an abundance of stories and photos so I'll break my posts up a bit. One of the things we did was spend some time in the Learning Centre. Molly had her students in MN write letters to the students in the Learning Centre and then we helped them write letters back. They were pretty excited about the whole experience!








It's always exciting to see what improvements have been made since my previous trip. This time, the stairs and floor of the Learning Centre were tiled. It looks GREAT! (You can see the steps here)

Goodbye snow, hello sun!

Molly and I are off to Sunbeam Boys Home in Jamaica again! I will be away from email and phone until next Sunday, April 6 so if I don't respond before then, you'll know why! Kirra is 6 months old!

It does not seem like 6 months ago that we were taking newborn photos of Kirra! She has grown so much and developed her own little personality! I'm not sure if she looks more like her mom or dad but I do know that she is CUTE!!

Annalee

I've said it before and I'll say it again...one of the best parts of photography is all the great people I get to meet! I met up with Annalee and her mom, Erin to do some one year photos of Annalee. After being there for no more than 5 minutes, I felt like I had known them for years! We had so much fun and Annalee is quite the cutie. Doug, you've got some beautiful ladies in your life! Thanks for a fun morning, Erin and Annalee!









Anyone who knows me, knows I love dogs. Doug, Erin, and Annalee's dog, Easton is no exception. I could tell right away that he was a tenderhearted dog. Erin told me that Easton has been with them during joyful and sorrowful times in their lives...you can just see the love in his eyes! Everyone needs a dog!
